[Persephone] - Apples and Killer Bees
Fighting Beedrills sounded like a nightmare. Sitting around picking fruits and veggies sounded a lot worse. Beedrills it was, then. Surprisingly, Torquemada agreed with Augustine, in spite of how dangerous it would be for both of them. A three-foot dive-bombing spear with multiple points of attack was, in spite of being a bug, a truly wonderful thing to see in flight. Sleek an agile with the killer instinct of a sociopath when it came to its own territory. Augustine, in spite of his rather justified bias against bugs, knew he couldn't pass up the opportunity to see one up close.
Initially, there was quite a debate over how to a
Getting paid to work out was probably the best thing Augustine could hope for, short of being behind the stick of a cockpit he had no liability for. It was like getting money to breathe or eat as far as he was concerned. For once, he could do something and not almost get beaten, fried, or suffocated by random pokemon being in places they shouldn't. Of course, this didn't mean he got to be free of pokemon causing problems. Marge, being a ghost without a real physical body, made a stink about being excluded from going out. Even though Augustine had no intention of her coming along, she seemed to find a problem in anything he proposed.

"Really? Bugs? Again?" Augustine sighed, dragging a hand down his face.
"What's to complain about? You did fine last time." Torquemada squawked with a chortle, "Or are you just scared of them now?"
There were times when Augustine really wanted to strangle that bird, and this was one of them. The Persephone, for being in deep space, sure seemed to have a persistent bug problem. If it wasn't the power systems, it was a bunch of dumb nectar suckers getting lost while looking for flowers to feast to puking on. With all the signage and directions leading to the Dome and the gardens, you'd think they could find their own way. It's not

For the first time in a long time, Augustine didn't listen to Torquemada's advice. Even though he knew his Archen friend wouldn't be able to accompany him, the aspiring pilot decided the risk was worth the reward. Simply put, Torquemada wouldn't have any maneuvering room in the access shafts, and he was at a severe type disadvantage. Instead, he'd bring Marge along to help out. There weren't any hurt feelings between the two, but Augustine knew Torque was never going to let him live this down if things went sour. Not that he would let something like that happen, but any luck he did have usually wasn't great. No time like the present

Augustine had come a bit late to the party with rounding up the miscreant and delinquent pokemon. For the most part, they'd all been rounded up and their leaders detained. For being enamored with speed, he was sure slow to get any results. Sarcasm and moaning in the back of his mind wasn't going to get food on the table or real quarters. This ship, for what it was, was a meritocracy up to a degree, and he'd have to earn his keep if he wanted to get anywhere above just a standard dorm. Not to mention, he was getting to the age where he really should be getting started on his career as a real pilot. Tinkering with old engines wasn't g
A day off was never came frequently enough. As much as Fumi liked working for DRAKKEN, his sister never seemed to have an end to the work she needed from him. Even though there was nothing for him today, his mind couldn't help but wander back to things like "I hope it's not a long shift tomorrow," and "Hoshi better not mess up my desk with stacks of papers." In fact, his brain was already on that exact train of thought as he walked his way down the street, Anri following at his side.
"Fumi, you're gonna walk into the road." she huffed, tugging to get him to move closer, "Are you even paying attention?"
The distant look in his eye
I can't believe how hard it can be to get up in the morning some days. It's not like I have much to do, but my life was busy until not too long ago. Maybe I'm just not used to it yet. Falling into a rut of work, eat, and sleep is good for passing the days. Not so much for actually living a life. I guess I'm lucky that I'm still young and have a life ahead of me. Some aren't as fortunate. Then again, I guess most people my age normally don't see people their age die before making much of their life.
Give and take. Give and take...
I got up and rubbed the sleep from my eye. Fell asleep on the floor again. Could be worse, cou
My name is Katsuo Himura, and this is the story of my home.
This is the home of great men and their stories.
Men I fought with as brothers in arms.
Men I loved as my own blood.
Men I hated as bitter enemies.
All men who I lived beside in my home.
This is the home of our strife and triumph.
The home where we fought our wars and counted our blessings.
The home of horrors beyond our nightmares.
The home of our salvation.
This is the home of my generation, our children, and our grandchildren, for all eternity.
The home of our birth and our end.
In this way, we carry on as our ancestors did before us.
We, so undeserving, inherited the untamed

"Kassmeyer! You're up!"
While I was happy we were getting to do something for once, I felt like we should have been done with this kind of thing after bootcamp. Not that it wasn't good to keep in shape, but this had to be mostly for the alchemists. Since they didn't go through the standard training until this point, they were at something of a disadvantage here. Again, not gonna complain about some easy fights... other than we still had to wear full uniform for some reason. The "please shoot me" blue was already pissing me off.
Anyways, I had no real idea on who I was going to fight, but it seemed like the alchemists were havin
